Bucket Elevator
A bucket elevator is a machine
which is used for hauling bulk materials like grains or fertilizers. The
bucket elevators use rubber belt and plastic buckets for lifting. It is
operated through pulleys which are driven by electric motors. They are
vertical lifting of materials such as coffee, rice, food grains and
other granular materials. The buckets comes in different sizes and
forms. Some of the elevators are made up of different sections like top,
middle and bottom. The intake section is at the bottom whereas the
discharge section is at the top. The belt of the elevator is made up of
rubber coated synthetic fiber. The width of the belt varies as per
requirement. The bucket is made from steel of adequate gauge which are
attached to the belt. The height of the bucket elevator can be either
increased or decreased on the job site. The buckets are made up of steel
thereby giving them a longer shelve of life.
