Fish graders are those machines
that are responsible for grading fishes. Their version depends upon the
capacity, the number of grades, the species and size of fish to be
graded and the condition of the fish. The size of fishes handled by
graders differ. Some grader can grade fishes ranging between 1gm to
900gm while some other can grade fishes weighing between 1kg to 2 kg.
Grader machines are of two types :
- Roller Grading Machine
- Straight Grading Machine
Features :
The combined features of both roller grading machine and straight
grading machines are :
- These machines are capable of grading all varieties of fishes
like tuna, salmond, mackerel, sardines etc.
- In roller grader the opening between the rollers can be
adjusted.
- Above grader there is a vibratory table where the fish is
transported through a conveyor.
- As per the thickness of the fish the gap between the rollers are
adjusted.
- The grader machines are made up of stainless steel and corrosion
resistant material.
- Straight grader machines are capable of grading both gutted and
ungutted fish.
- The clearance between the belt is adjustable.
- The straight graders are operated both by electric and hydraulic
motors.
- An adjustable feeder plate correctly positions every fish onto
the grading channels.
