Grain Husker
After harvest, the grains are
processed with various machines to achieve healthy end products. Grains
like rice, pulses, wheat, soybean, etc are cleaned and milled before
they are packed and marketed. The grains consist of many impurities like
stones, chaff, husks, etc which are cleaned by using various machines.
Husks are the outer covering of the grains which are coarse and are non
edible and hence it is necessary to clean them before further processing
takes place. Grain husker are used widely to remove these types of
impurities from the grains.
How does a Grain Husker works?
The grain husker is used for removing the outer layer of the grains.
The husk is removed by the gentle action of the rubber rolls which are
applied to the grains rotating with different speed. The advantage of
using rubber roll is that, it reduces rice breakage and has great
aspiration efficiency. The air aspirators in the grain husker removes
the husk by means of air pressure. The feeding system in the husker is
designed in such a manner that the grains entering the machine orients
itself in the best possible and direction with viable speed. This
arrangement also reduces the possibility of breaking of grains. The
product is distributed evenly in the husking chamber. The movement and
feeding of the husker is monitored by a level detector. The other
important instruments of the husker are roller with gear control, rubber
roller air cooling system, aspirator fan, and collecting chamber.
