Gravity Separator
The gravity separator is used for
separating grains which are of the same size but with different specific
weight. It effectively removes broken, immature or other types of
defective seeds to ensure the high quality of the final products. It is
used in various grain processing plants. It is applicable for clearing
grains like wheat, rice, pulses, soybeans, etc.
How does a Gravity Separator works?
The separator consists of rectangular deck in which the grain travels
longer distance which results in the cleaner separation of light and
heavy particles. The lower vibrating deck on which the product flows is
subjected to pressurized air which causes the material to stratify
according to its specific weight. The heavier and lighter materials
moves on the upper and the lower level of the deck. The air fans are
adjustable which controls the volume of air distribution at different
areas of the vibrating deck. The deck inclination is also adjustable. It
is high utility machine which is indispensable in any grain mill.
