Ice cream is a frozen edible made
from dairy products such as cream and milk in combination with
ingredients like nuts, flavoring agents, sweeteners such as sugar etc.
The whole mixture is cooled while stirring.
The history of ice cream is many centuries old. It was used in ancient
China. Marco Polo too has mentioned about the ice cream. Ice cream
comes in many flavors like strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, orange etc.
Ice cream are prepared in large factories and in household using small
machinery. Vending machines have also become popular for the preparation
of ice cream. On different basis ice cream machines are as follows :
- Large Machines
Large ice cream plants have big freezing and ingredients mixing
chambers. Operated by motors, the auger is capable of mixing solid
ingredients in the ice cream. The flavors, sweetening agent etc are
mixed in mixing chambers.
- Vending Machines
The vending machine allows to have the ice cream directly from the
machines within no time just with a press of a button. The vending
machine has a deep internal freezer, motor, ice cream picker, blower
etc. Once the machine is activated with the insert of the coin, the
motor open the lid of the freezer. The motors after opening the lid
goes back to their home position. The controller release the latch
and drops the hose. The hose hit the ice cream bar package. The hose
is telescoped upward by the blower machine. Finally the ice cream
bar drops in the bin where the customer receives it.
- Small domestic Machines
Small domestic ice cream machine is electrically operated machine
consisting of internal freezing mechanism. All the ingredients are
well mixed in the machine by the stirrer which are then cooled in
the freezing chamber.
