Jam & Jelly Machine
The juices of fruits are
processed to prepare jams and jellies which are sweet confections. They
are prepared after boiling, crushing, sweetening and simmering of fruits
either singularly or in combinations usually with the help gelatin,
pectin etc.
The raw materials needed for making jams and jellies are fruit juices, sweetener, different flavors, citric acid, etc. The important instruments involved in preparing jams are pipes, conveyors, choppers, cleaners, crushers and pasteurizer. As the fruits pass through the conveyors they are cleared by the gentle spray of water. The fruits or juice are allowed to pass through small holes leaving behind stems and other debris. Some fruits are crushed manually whereas some others are crushed by crushers. Fruits or juice are then pasteurized to avoid spoilage. The fruits or juices are then transferred to refrigerator and then pumped to cooking kettles as needed. The juice or fruits are cooked in a kettle with other ingredients to obtain jam and jelly. |
