Meat slicers are important meat
processing equipments meant for slicing meat in different sizes and
thickness. The meats are sliced for preparing sausage, hamburger, meat
salads etc for household consumption as well as large scale commercial
consumptions like hotels, restaurants etc.
On the basis of operation meat slicers are of two types :
- Hand operated meat slicers
The hand operated meat slicers are clamped on the table. The slicers
consist of metallic sharpener, which slices the meat. Attached tray
receives the sliced meat. Meat is fed through hooper or other types
of feeder which vary from machine to machine.
- Electric operated meat slicers
Electric meat slicer consists of stainless steel blade and the
structural components are made up of metals like stainless steel,
cast aluminum etc. The machine is powered by an electric motor which
gives smooth gear drive operations. Some machine consists of
thickness control equipments. The grinding plates are made up of
heavy duty metals which have resistance from corrosion and can
withstand high temperatures. The other important equipments of meat
slicers are sausage stuffer, sausage attachment, food pusher, large
aluminum hopper etc.
