Pulse Splitter and Scourer
Pulses, when are harvested
contains large number of husks, dusts and dirts. They are cleaned,
milled and splitted by using various machines like scourer, cleaner,
splitter, husker, etc. The first step is clearing through grading,
sorting and separation. Pulses are cleared of the husk by the husker or
scourer and splitted by the splitter. After the clearance pulses are
milled.
Pulse Scourer Pulse scourer is a machine for dehusking pulses. They are used in various pulse mills for pretreatment and obtaining gota. It is operated by a motor and the hopper is mounted at one end. The roller generally of emery rotates inside a screen. Passing through the screen husks get removed and pulverized. The pulses which are shelled gets out of the outlet which is at the other end of the machine. Pulse Splitter After the dehusking of the grain it is splitted to obtain dal or pulses. In construction it is quite similar to scourer. Grains are splitted in the cylinder which is inside the special screen. Whole length of the cylinder is covered by a hopper which is used to feed the grain in a thin layer. There is a opening at the bottom of the machine from where the pulses passes out. From motor to the splitter there is a v-belt drive mounted on a frame made of mild steel channel sections. |
