Rice sifter is a processing
machine that separates milled rice from various impurities. Even after
milling, rice contains many impurities like head rice, mixture, small to
large broken tips, bran, etc. These impurities are separated by using
rice sifter. Depending on the nature of the materials rice sifter are of
following types :
- Rotary Sifter
- Vibro Sifter
- Centrifugal Separator
Mechanical Operations
Sifters are either single deck or double deck having different types of
sieves. Rotary sifter consists of different types of adjustable sieves.
The horizontal circular movement results in efficient and accurate
sifting. The rubber cleaners prevents clogging, resulting in the smooth
passage of grains through the sieves. Since the seal frame is framed,
the dust is not allowed to escape which results in the pollution free
operation.
Centrifugal sifter cleans the grain efficiently through rotary and
linear motion. It removes material that can cause wear and tear on
subsequent machinery and ensure hygienic storage conditions and good
quality grain.
For the highest efficiency in finishing and sifting of difficult stocks
in flour mills such as from pneumatic system and flour from bran
finishers, vibro sifter is used. Grinding and sieving becomes easier and
all the useful flour is extracted. Apart from flour It can also be used
on some seeds and spices for removal of excess dust.
