Sausage is a delicious food
prepared out of chopped meat mixed with seasonings and often other
ingredients, all encased in a thin membrane. Making sausage is a century
old practice. In ancient period Greeks and Romans use to prepare plain
and unspiced sausage. However later in middle ages spices and other
ingredients began to be used in sausages. In modern times sausages are
prepared by using specialized machines.

- They are either operated electrically or manually.
- They are provided with tank or other types of feeder in which the
meat is fed.
- In hand operated machine crank is rotated to produce desired
sausage.
- In electric operated machine sausage is made through fast
rotating disc having blades.
- The structure of the machine is normally made up of stainless
steel.
- The grinded meat is collected in separate collector. The meat
comes out of many small openings.
