Sheller Machine
The sheller removes the outer
husk from the grain. Sheller machines are of different types and
configuration and are suitable for shelling grains like rice, paddy,
millets, wheat etc. Depending upon their configuration and
installations, shellers are of different types like rubber roller
sheller, vertical sheller, etc.
Rubber Roller Sheller Rubber roller sheller has high shelling capacity in which the breaking of grain is minimum. There is a mechanism of rubber roll cooling. The grains enter the machine through the feed hopper. The rollers removes the outer layers of the grain and the mixture of the shelled rice paddy and husk leaves the roll sheller through the outlet. There are some other shellers which are well suited for shelling of a number of cleaned and graded grains, such as barley, rye, wheat, millet, sorghum, etc. Instead of rubber rollers they consists of emery rollers. The vertical and conical shelling machine shell the grains from top to bottom. These conical shellers operate with abrasive conical discs with air feed opening in between. Through vertical feeding pipeline, product is feeded into the machine from where it is conveyed to the working chamber. The pressure on the chamber can be varied for the better output. The pressure is built by a resistance plate at the grain outlet. The gap between the abrasive stone and the sieve is adjustable. |
