Soybean is a leguminous crop
grown mainly in the tropical and subtropical climate of Asia. It derives
its name from the Japanese word shoyu. It is the rich and inexpensive
source of protein and oil. Since soybean is a leguminous crop it adds
fertility to the soil through nitrogen fixation. Soybean is a single
largest source of oil in the world which is healthy because it contains
no cholesterol. The ratio of oil and protein in soybean are in the ratio
of 1:2. Soybean cake which is the byproduct of soybean oil is rich
